Publications & Magazines
Covers, editorial systems, recurring departments and print-ready issues.
Graphic design · Auckland and New Zealand
Vivid Icon creates publications, campaigns, marketing collateral and business communication designed to make complex information clearer and brands more consistent. From editorial systems and presentations through to advertising and production-ready print artwork, every piece is built with close attention to typography, hierarchy and detail.

Information · Brand · Visual craft
Graphic design brings content and brand together so people can find what matters, understand it and act on it. Vivid Icon organises complex information into communication that is visually strong, consistent, useful and ready for its final format.
You may need one important document or an entire family of marketing material. The goal is the same: make the communication clearer and make the business look consistent.
What we design
Every category is treated as part of a wider brand system rather than a disconnected piece of artwork.
Covers, editorial systems, recurring departments and print-ready issues.
Capability documents, programmes, booklets and long-form communication.
Service documents, sales sheets, flyers and brand-consistent material.
Print, outdoor, digital and event graphics developed as one family.
Launch, sponsorship, event and business presentations where required.
Branded posts, banners and launch material—not social media management.
Structured documents and applications within established standards.
Accessible information for health, community and diverse audiences.
Selected graphic design work
One feature per client, selected to show distinct challenges rather than repeat individual deliverables as separate projects.

Editorial / Publication / Community Communication
A content-rich magazine system shown through cover, internal spreads, typography, image hierarchy and structured sponsor content—not a single cover alone.

Editorial / Publication / Production
A modular editorial structure for varied story lengths, recurring pages and reliable print production. Its role is repeatable publication architecture rather than SAMA's community-led editorial character.

Strong publication design considers reading flow, page grids, recurring departments, typography, image balance and consistency across long documents. Feature pages can change pace without losing the logic of the publication.

Design systems, not random assets
Repeatable publication layouts, campaign families, document structures and branded collateral help communication stay recognisable as formats change. A brochure, presentation, advert and digital graphic should still look like the same organisation.
Good collateral strengthens the brand instead of slowly diluting it.

Typography, grid and imagery
Headline scale, body-text rhythm, alignment, spacing and page grids determine whether information feels inviting or difficult. Image cropping, masking, retouching and colour treatment support that structure when supplied photography needs to work within an editorial or campaign system.
Clear entry points and reading order.
Alignment and repeatable page rhythm.
Display, body and information levels.
Controlled crop, masking and colour.

Designed properly before it reaches the printer
Vivid Icon works with professional Adobe Creative Cloud production workflows: InDesign for long-form editorial, Illustrator for vector graphics and Photoshop for image preparation. The work remains the proof rather than a row of software logos.
Vivid Icon prepares professional production-ready artwork and can coordinate with appropriate commercial print suppliers where included in scope. SignSpot provides specialist signage fabrication and installation where physical rollout is required.

A practical process
The depth scales to the project, whether it is one critical document or a recurring publication system.
What must be communicated, to whom and in what format.
Hierarchy, content flow and page architecture.
Typography, imagery, layout and visual direction.
Proofing, content adjustments and consistency.
Final digital or print-production artwork.
Working with your content
Vivid Icon can work with supplied copy, existing brand assets, photography, spreadsheets, sponsor logos and technical information, then organise that material into a professional design system.
Content refinement or copywriting support can be discussed where required, but full copywriting is not assumed. Clients remain responsible for approving final factual content.

Connected communication
Campaign graphics and collateral can extend from print into digital without duplicating the Website service. Product brands may also need sales sheets, launch graphics, catalogues and trade presentations alongside packaging.

Communication shaped by the people reading it
SAMA, NZMA and Whenua Moana demonstrate different communication contexts rather than one generic idea of community work. Vivid Icon considers audience, reading needs, language, content hierarchy and appropriate client or cultural leadership without relying on tokenistic motifs.
The same care for clarity applies to growing SMEs, product brands, professional services, public-sector teams and established corporate organisations.
