Problem

A health brand needed warmth, clarity and trust.

Whenua Moana Health Collective needed a warm, credible and culturally grounded identity for a Māori and Pacific community health service. The brand had to feel professional enough for health environments while staying human, welcoming and connected to whānau, culture and community.

Design solution

A complete identity system built around care.

We developed a connected visual system around care, connection and belonging. The logo brings together whenua, moana, people and hauora through a simple circular mark supported by a grounded colour palette, accessible typography, modular patterns and practical service icons.

Execution

Designed for every real-world touchpoint.

The system was extended across brand guidelines, pathway lockups, photography direction, clinic signage, reception interiors, mobile clinic graphics, brochures, appointment cards, reminder pieces, website direction, app screens and social campaign assets.

Final outcome

A cohesive health brand with room to grow.

The result is a professional and approachable brand presence that can move across clinic, community, print, signage and digital settings while keeping the same message clear: wellbeing, rooted in who we are.

How each part of the project supports the brand.

01

Brand overview

The brand foundation introduces Whenua Moana Health Collective as a Māori and Pacific community health identity centred on whānau, wellbeing and cultural respect. The logo suite, lockups, purpose statement and values create a clear starting point for every touchpoint, from clinical communication to community outreach.

02

Identity system and guidelines

The extended guidelines define the colour palette, typography, logo suite, pathway lockups, graphic pattern system and health icon set. The system gives the team practical rules for consistency while allowing enough flexibility for Hauora Māori, Pacific Health, whānau support, outreach and service-specific communication.

03

Photography direction

The photography direction focuses on warm, documentary-led imagery that feels honest, respectful and community-centred. It prioritises real connection, natural light, diverse representation and authentic environments so the brand can show care, manaakitanga and whanaungatanga without feeling staged.

04

Environmental and service applications

The brand was extended into clinic signage, reception interiors and mobile clinic graphics. These applications show how Whenua Moana can feel welcoming and professional in physical health spaces, while making services easier to recognise, navigate and trust across community settings.

05

Print collateral

The print suite includes brochures, appointment cards, DL flyers, reminder cards and wellbeing information pieces. Each item uses clear hierarchy, accessible language, service icons and warm brand shapes so health information feels organised, supportive and easy for whānau to use.

06

Digital and campaign applications

The digital direction shows how the identity can work across a website homepage, mobile booking app and social campaign tiles. The system supports appointment pathways, service discovery, reminders and wellbeing messages while keeping the same tone of care: grounded, clear and connected.
